Tropic Sun goes all the way

Sean's former charge Skitt Skizzle continues to churn out the winners, despite not receiving the support he deserves, and the son of Jet Master provided the Tarry yard with more success yesterday when his speedy daughter Tropic Sun made all to win at Turffontein.

Under Lyle Hewitson, the Klawervlei Stud bred four-year-old was quickly away in Saturday's Johan Van Der Linden, Nick Blignaut, Jacobus Viljoen Pinnacle Stakes (F&M) over 1100m, and kept finding more to record a facile win.

The well backed favourite, Tropic Sun followed up her impressive G3 Sycamore Sprint victory with a two and three quarter length win, and she is clearly in tremendous form!

Owned by Chris Van Niekerk, Tropic Sun has overcome some headstrong behaviour earlier in her career and has now won four times with the promise of more to come!
Saturday's racemeeting at Turffontein, the Henneman Memorial Raceday, commemorates the plane crash of 12 April 1988 in which 13 jockeys, one trainer, five officials, two owners and three crew members lost their lives returning from a meeting in Bloemfontein.
