Chimichuri Run to stud

Author: admin

The Tarry yard's high-class sprinter Chimichuri Run is set to stand at Blue Sky Thoroughbreds later this year.
A son of champion sire Trippi, the flashy chestnut has earned over R2.2 million in prize money, with Chimichuri Run scoring his biggest win when capturing the 2019 G1 Tsogo Sun Sprint.

In landing the Tsogo Sun Sprint, Chimichuri Run downed a high-class field with his beaten rivals including such G1 winners as Undercover Agent, Bold Respect, Attenborough and Van Halen.

The classy colt also showed top-class form at two, running third in both the G1 Gold Medallion and G2 SA Nursery before going on to land the G2 Umkhomazi Stakes.
Out of G1 SA Fillies Classic winner Spiced Gold, Chimichuri Run was himself a R1 100 000 yearling purchase.
Chimichuri Run will begin his stud career standing at a fee of R5 000.
