Tuesday treble for Tarry

Sean's great run of form continued at the Vaal on Tuesday when the yard sent out a trio of winners.

The Tarry stable's first success came when Ideal World gelding Wild Fire, under a good ride from Joe Gwingwuzha, romped home to shed his maiden, by four lengths, in a workriders maiden plate over 1800.

Dropping back in trip for Tuesday's race, Wild Fire races for stalwart owner Brian Riley in partnership with Sean Tarry Racing CC.

Sean's second winner of the afternoon came when talented 3yo filly Celtic Sea justified 4-10 favouritism to win an assessment plate over 1200m. The daughter of Captain Al was one of the better 2yo fillies around last season and had run a good third in the G2 Wilgerbosdrift Gauteng Fillies Guineas last time out. However, the G2 Golden Slipper winner had to work for victory and only got up close to home to snare front runner Benji by 0.3 of a length.

Owned by Anthony and Angela Beck, Celtic Sea was bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein.

Sean also had success in Tuesday's seventh race, when the talented Forest Express won an assessment plate over 2400m. The daughter of Oracy took her tally of wins to three when running out a clear-cut winner,-despite the fact that Forest Express was having her first race since October.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, the consistent four-year-old is owned by Chris Van Niekerk.

Both Celtic Sea and Forest Express were ridden by Lyle Hewitson, who has been riding out of his skin of late.
