World Of Alice Game In Fillies Mile Win
Sean Tarry Racing enjoyed feature race success at Turffontein on Saturday. The stable sent out promising filly World Of Alice to win the G3 Betway Fillies Mile on Betway Summer Cup day.
Runner up in the G3 HSH Princess Charlene Starling Stakes to Fillies Mile scratching Fatal Flaw, three-year-old World Of Alice had plenty to overcome in Saturday's race, but she did so in style.
After having a bridle mishap before the race, World Of Alice stormed home, under Craig Zackey, to get up and beat a game Fiery Pegasus by a neck.
The filly was done no favours in running and did well to get up and win.
It was a fine performance from World Of Alice who came from someway back to get up and score convincingly.
Bred by Varsfontein Stud, World Of Alice races for Sandy and Eugene Arundel.
A daughter of sensational young sire and Met winning champion, One World, World Of Alice is out of the four-time winning Hussonet mare Alice Springs.
Craig Zackey said after the win, "This filly has got so much talent. The penny has still not dropped. It took a lot of heart from her to get up and win, but she is definitely a horse for the notebook."
