Tarry Strikes Twice On Tuesday

Tana Maree

Sean Tarry Racing enjoyed a good day at the Vaal on Tuesday. The yard sent out three runners on the day, with two of the three horses winning impressively.
The Tarry stable made the perfect start on Tuesday, when the yard's Tana Maree won the 4Racing Welcomes You Maiden Plate (F&M) over 1200m.
Under the inform Ryan Munger, the four-year-old was always travelling well and hit the front 200m from home. From there, Tana Maree drew clear to win as she liked by three lengths.
Bred by Bush Hill Stud, Tana Maree races for Lance Michael and the Zoghbys.
The filly is a daughter of Trippi and the Mullins Bay mare Plaisance, with Tana Maree's granddam being G2 Golden Slipper winner Dignify.

War Reporter

The Tarry yard struck again in the third race on Tuesday when the lightly raced War Reporter romped home to claim the www.tab4racing.com Maiden Plate over1600m.
Under a confident ride from S'Manga Khumalo, the three-year-old romped home to score impressively by two and three-quarter lengths.
While he may not have beaten a strong field, there was plenty to like about the style of War Reporter's win on Tuesday.
A son of Vercingetorix, the Oldlands Stud bred gelding races for Kestorm Investments.
The classically bred War Reporter is a half-brother to both Listed Derby Trial winner Gift For The Gap and the smart stayer Arte.
