Turffontein Double For Tarry

Sean and his yard had a good double at Turffontein on Saturday when the Tarry trained pair of To The Rescue and Swing Upon A Star won their respective races.

Three-year-old To The Rescue showed the benefit of being gelded when he ran out a comfortable winner of the first race on Saturday.

Under a confident ride from Piere Strydom, To The Rescue produced his patented late finish which saw him get up to break his maiden by a deceptive neck.

Bred by Blue Sky Thoroughbreds, To The Rescue is owned by Sean's stalwart owners Antony and Angela Beck.

A son of multiple champion sire Gimmethegreenlight, the well bred To The Rescue is out of the Dynasty sired G3 Flamboyant Stakes winner Hashtagyolo.

His talented stablemate Swing Upon A Star, who had been victorious in the 2022 G2 Epol Umkhomazi Stakes, claimed his fourth win when he won Saturday's www.tab4racing.com Pinnacle Stakes.

Under an inform Serino Moodley, the four-year-old looked full of running 200m from home and the Elusive Fort gelding duly stormed home to win a shade cosily by a neck.

Bred by Narrow Creek Stud, Swing Upon A Star races for the Nassif family.

The Tarry yard also looked unlucky not to have feature race success on Saturday with Sean's charge Red Maple flashing up late for second spot in the Listed TAB Aquanaut Handicap.
