First Timers Shine At Turffontein

Sean Tarry Racing sent out the first two finishers in the first race run at Turffontein on Thursday. The stable's first-timers, Fully Committed and Panning Silver, both made pleasing starts to their racing careers when finishing first and second, respectively.
Three-year-old Fully Committed made an impressive debut when romping home in the 4Racing Welcomes You Maiden Plate (F and M) over 1000 metres.
Under Craig Zackey, the daughter of Captain Of All outclassed her rivals with a three and a quarter-length win.
Bred by Klawervlei Stud, Fully Committed races for Laurence, Tessa and Jarryd Wernars. The filly is out of the Tarry-trained Tambalang, whose four wins included the Listed Aquanaut Handicap of 2018.
