Pomodoro Filly Wins On Debut

Sean sent out Golden Moment, a daughter of the Tarry-trained July winner Pomodoro, to win on debut at Turffontein on Sunday. The two-year-old was given a peach of a ride by record-breaking jockey Richard Fourie, with Fourie bringing Golden Moment with a late run down the inside of the track to land the TAB Telebet 0861 000 822 Maiden Plate (1160m). Golden Moment got up in the shadow of the post to win on debut by a short-head.

The race was a great result for the Tarry racing team, with Sean Tarry trained Like A Butterfly finishing second to Golden Moment.

After the race, Sean said, "I like this filly. She is a ringer for her sire, and I think there might be something there."

Golden Moment was bred by Klawervlei Stud, and she races for Sean Tarry Racing (Pty) Ltd. The filly is out of the King Of Kings mare, Millenium Reign.

The latter has now produced four winners, including the useful Dubawi Princess.
