Rafeef Filly Game At The Vaal

Sean and his yard sent out three-year-old Troppo Veloce to score a courageous win at the Vaal on Thursday afternoon.

Under Calvin Habib, Troppo Veloce stalked the front runners, before coming with a late run to land Thursday's Free Kiddies Entertainment 28 October FM 90 Handicap (1000m) by three parts of a length.

It was a smart effort by Troppo Veloce who was making her first start since contesting the G1 Allan Robertson Championship back in June.

It was also a first run for the Tarry yard by Troppo Veloce, who had formerly been with Ashley Fortune.

Bred by Piemonte Stud, Troppo Veloce races for Waste Glass Recovery.

Now a two-time winner from five starts, Troppo Veloce is a daughter of Rafeef and the three-time winning Elusive Quality mare Aljawhara, and she looks to have the scope to progress from Thursday's win.
