Comet Flies To Ready To Run Success

Sean looks to have a very classy three-year-old on his hands in the form of Tail Of The Comet. The latter made it three wins from just four starts when romping to visually impressive win in Saturday's Cape Racing Sales The Ready To Run Stakes (1400m) at Hollywoodbets Durbanville.

Unlucky not to be unbeaten, Tail Of The Comet overcame a wide trip in Saturday's R600 000 contest when he powered home, under a confident ride from Richard Fourie, to claim the R310 000 first place prize by four and a quarter lengths.

Bred by Nadeson Park Stud, Tail Of The Comet is now likely to be aimed at the G1 Cape Guineas.

A son of Gimmethegreenlight and Listed Laisserfaire Stakes winner Comet Chaser, the exciting Tail Of The Comet races for the ASSM Racing Syndicate, and Gary Harvett, George O'Brien and Sean Tarry Racing (Pty) Ltd.

He looks to be a cracking prospect!

Sean also had success at Turffontein when his charge Mrs Browning made much of the running to claim Saturday's Konica Minolta Graduation Plate (1450m) by three-parts of a length. Under a great ride from Kabelo Matsunyane, the four-year-old daughter of Rafeef, and full-sister to G1 WSB SA Derby winner Aragosta, kept finding in the closing stages to claim her third win from just nine starts.

Bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, the smart Mrs Browning races for Jarryd & Lawrence Wernars, Harry Wilson and the Hyperpaint Syndicate.
