Silver Shines In Acacia Win

Sean saddled the progressive filly Silver Hills to score an eye-catching win in the Listed Wilgerbosdrift Acacia Stakes (1600m) at Turffontein on Saturday.

The daughter of Silvano had won the Listed Wolf Power 1600 last time out, and Silver Hills made it back-to-back feature race wins with a stirring performance on Saturday.

Under a great ride from Serino Moodley, who is unbeaten in two starts on the filly, Silver Hills unleashed a strong run from the back of the field, which saw her get up and claim the Acacia Stakes of 2024 by nearly half a length.

Silver Hills has now won three of her last four starts and she continues to do her connections proud.

Bred and owned by Drakenstein Stud, the four-year-old is out of G1 Wilgerbosdrift SA Oaks winner Ash Cloud, with the latter also the dam of 2023 G2 World Sports Betting 1900 winner Pacaya.

No doubt, she will be a very valuable prospect when she retires to the paddocks!
