Tarry Team Secures A Double At Turffontein

Sean and his yard have been in great form of late, and the Tarry yard made it four wins since Thursday when Sean sent out both Mia Moo and Swing Upon A Star to win at Turffontein on Sunday.

Making just the second start of her career (she had finished fourth on debut), three-year-old Mia Moo stamped herself as a filly to follow when she romped home to land Sunday’s first race as she liked.

Under Richard Fourie, Mia Moo was always prominent in Sunday’s 4Racing Welcomes You Maiden Plate (F&M) over 1160m.

When Richard asked her the question, the daughter of Vercingetorix hit the front 200m from home and powered away to score as she liked by four and a quarter lengths.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, Mia Moo (who is out of the Captain Al sired Irridescence Stakes winner Leeward) races for Sandy and Eugene Arundel in partnership with World Sports Betting.

Sean struck again in the next race when his charge Swing Upon A Star claimed the www.tab4racing.com Graduation Plate (1100m).

Winner of the 2022 G2 Epol Umkhomazi Stakes, the Narrow Creek Stud bred Swing Upon A Star gave his trainer and rider Richard Fourie a quick double on Sunday when winning a gusty race.

Hitting the front someway from home, four-year-old Swing Upon A Star stayed on to hold off a fast finishing Elegant Ice and win by a head.

A son of Elusive Fort and the Judpot mare Eliza Doolittle, Swing Upon A Star races for Messrs Gerome, Kevin and Mark Nassif.
