Lance Gelding Scores On Friday

The Sean Tarry Racing (Pty) Ltd owned Roomformanoeuvre provided his sire, the former Tarry-trained Lance, with yet another winner when he won impressively at Fairview on Friday.

The stable had felt a change of scenery would benefit Roomformanoeuvre, and so it proved.

Under Sandile Khathi, the four-year-old dug down deep to hold off Maneki Neko and make a winning debut by two lengths.

Roomformanoeuvre, a difficult horse at home, is now in the care of Kelly Mitchley, who described the winner as a very sensitive horse. Well done to Kelly and her team for doing such a great job with Roomformanoeuvre.

Bred by Summerhill Equestrian, Roomformanoeuvre is out of the National Emblem mare Second Bite.

His sire Lance made waves last season as the sire of star filly Quid Pro Quo, winner of all of the G1 Allan Robertson Championship, G2 Zulu Kingdom Explorer Golden Slipper and G1 Douglas Whyte Thekwini Stakes.
